Welcome to the Web site for the Technical Services Round Table of the Pennsylvania Library Association. This site has been designed with the technical services librarian in mind!

Call for papers!

PaLA is currently accepting proposals for programs and proposals for the 2008 annual PaLA Conference. See the Conferences/Workshops/Other Events link on the News, Research, and Events page for more information.

To create a greater sense of community, and to keep members informed of our activities, we have created a listserv. To join our list serv, and for more information on services offered to members of the Pennsylvania Library Association, please see the Member Services page

Our News, Research, and Events page includes information on upcoming conferences, events, and workshops; it is also highlights publications that would be of interest. The page also contains archived information from the previous years' PALA conference.

There are some new additions to our presence on the Web. One of these is a Wiki discussion board; this discussion board can be used to discuss the upcoming conference, as well as any topics of interest to our group. To obtain the password, please contact Michael Cabus, recording secretary.

The second addition is a page entitled "First person"; as a way for us to get to know fellow members of the Round Table, a different member will be profiled every month.

This site is new, and we are continually seeking ideas for how this site can be used and improved to best meet the needs of technical services librarians in public and academic libraries. Please send comments or suggestions to Michael Cabus, recording secretary of the PaLA Technical Services Round Table.

Thank you for your interest and participation!
