The Technical Services Round Table, as an extension of the Pennsylvania Library Association, is committed to providing educational and social opportunities for our members, to provide avenues for professional growth.
Below is a directory of newly elected Round Table officers for 2008-2009, in addition to officers from the previous year. If you have any ideas or suggestions regarding the Round Table, please contact one of the current officers.
Our primary mode of communication with our members, besides our Web site, is through our listserv, which notifies members of news and events relevant to librarians working in technical service departments. The listserv also allows members to post news and information relevant to the Round Table community. Membership in PaLA is not required for submitting messages or subscribing to the listserv. To join our listserv, please complete the online form. If you are already a member of the listserv and would like to post a message, please send an email to Michael Cabus, the listserv manager. You can also unsubscribe to the listserv by sending an email to the list serv manager, with "unsubscribe" in the subject line of the email and your name in the message portion of the email.
To become a member of the Technical Services Round Table, you must first become a member of the Pennsylvania Library Association, specifying on your membership application that you would like to join the Round Table. For more information on becoming a member of the Pennsylvania Library Association, please see the membership page on the Pennsylvania Library Association Web site.
The Pennsylvania Library Association also provides its members with opportunities for scholarships and grants; for more information on these grants, please see the scholarships and grants page on the PaLA Web site. PaLA members in graduate school for library and information science at Drexel University may be eligible to receive a 20% discount on tuition. For more information on the tuition discount program, please refer to the program Web page.
