Well, I’m back with more updates. I stayed an evening
outside Los Angeles and went to Hollywood the next day.
On Hollywood
Boulevard, at the Walk of Fame and outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre – Steven Spielberg was here:

The following day we left. Here I am on the beach on
Friday, at the Pacific Ocean in Huntington
Beach, California:

At the Hoover
Dam that same day:

And we finished the day in Vegas. Didn’t win big money
– but I didn’t lose big money either.

We awoke to our return back East. Saturday was spent
in Arizona, and we traveled several times on the
historic Route 66:

From Route 66 we went to the Grand
Canyon.

Traveling through the desert, you’ll never know what
you’re going to see; I say it’s an alpaca, but Jon thinks it is a llama.

The “Painted Desert”
really looks like it could have been…

At Four Corners (where Utah,
Arizona, New Mexico
and Colorado
meet) I posed on Sunday.

We went through Colorado
for the day on the San Juan
Scenic Byway. This day was an adventure through beautiful landscapes.

Today we came down from Colorado
through New Mexico to Texas. We happened upon a monument to Buddy
Holly, the early rock star. The matching outfit wasn’t planned, I swear!

So, here we are so far. We’ll be going around Texas tomorrow, then to Louisiana,
up the Mississippi to Memphis,
then St. Louis
and then finally home. I can’t wait to see you all!
