Of Course You Can!

You can include Problem Solving into any instructional plan.

Instructional activities may include:

·      working backwards from a conclusion

·      analyzing an existing process

·      determining a sequence of events

·      creative thinking

·      scientific experimentation based on a theory

Keep in mind these points:

- Clarify the initial problem when necessary (but don't give away the answers!)

- Use additional resources/materials when necessary

- Keep workgroups small

- Help the students understand when to use the technique
