Consider the Following:

 

Example 1: You’re teaching a Literature unit using problem solving.

·      From prior experience, give the students an introduction to the characters.

·      What question(s) would the students want to know about their background?

·      Some ideas for an problem-solving approach could be:

       Pick a character and ask how their personality changes through the novel.

       Or ask what lessons the protagonist learns as a result of his/her adventures.

 

Example 2: You’re teaching a Sociology course using problem solving.

·      From prior experience, what question(s) would you ask the students to answer?

·      Find out how to engage students in exploring history using this link as a guide.
